MENA Newswire News Desk: Etihad Airways announced on Friday that it will increase the frequency of its flights between Abu Dhabi and Jaipur to 10 per week starting December 15, 2024. The expansion comes just four months after the airline began servicing the Rajasthan city, highlighting the growing demand for the route. The additional flights aim to provide more flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and India, a key market for Etihad.

Arik De, Etihad Airways’ Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s commitment to the Indian market, stating that the expansion will offer Indian travelers enhanced access to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as smooth connections to Etihad’s global network. He added, “Our focus is always on delivering a world-class flying experience for our guests.”

Passengers flying from Jaipur to the United States will also benefit from Etihad’s US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located in Abu Dhabi, allowing them to complete the immigration process before landing in the US. This service streamlines the travel experience and eliminates the need for post-arrival customs checks.

Etihad has increased its capacity to India by over one-third in the last year as part of its broader strategy to deepen its presence in the Indian market. The airline recently celebrated 20 years of service to the Indian subcontinent, further solidifying its long-term commitment to the region.

The newly scheduled flights will be operated using Airbus A320 family aircraft, known for their efficiency and modern features. This latest expansion follows a series of route enhancements by Etihad as it seeks to strengthen its global network and improve travel experiences for its customers.

Jaipur is one of several cities in India where Etihad operates, with the airline continuing to monitor demand for further capacity increases. The announcement reflects Etihad’s strategy of offering convenient and seamless travel options for both business and leisure travelers across its network.

Etihad Airways is also working closely with tourism and aviation authorities in both the UAE and India to support the growing number of travelers between the two countries. The increase in flights between Abu Dhabi and Jaipur is expected to further boost tourism and business exchanges between the UAE and India.
